On Friday, Feb. 9, the following message was sent to the university community.
Early this morning FIU Police detained two possible suspects in an incident that occurred in the Tamiami Park area near MMC. The situation prompted an alert to the university community. The issue was resolved quickly and normal university operations resumed before 8 a.m.
Miami-Dade Police is investigating the incident, which does not involve FIU students, faculty or staff.
