The FIU Police Department is participating in a training exercise on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the Kovens Conference Center on the Biscayne Bay Campus.
The exercise will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight.
During this time, you might see helicopters and police activity in the area. The training scenario will include the use of blanks, which will sound very much like gunshots. Please be assured that this is only a training exercise and there is absolutely no danger to the community.
