FIU on national television ahead of midterm elections

The following message was sent to the university community on Friday, October 26.

As the midterm elections approach, FIU has become a go-to place for the news media to take the pulse of young voters.

On Monday, October 29, NBC’s TODAY Show and Stay Tuned – a Snapchat news show with an audience of 7 million – will be broadcasting from MMC. They will be filming by the lake near the Steven. J. Green School from 6 a.m. to noon. Please note that there may be additional pedestrian traffic in this area.

Please tune in to the TODAY show on Channel 6 (English) on Monday starting at 7 a.m. to watch our students play a role in the midterm conversation.

Next week, we also expect visits from the national networks CBS and Telemundo, as well as other media outlets.

This week, several of our students participated in interviews with Telemundo Network regarding early voting. We expect those interviews to run soon as well.

Thank you for supporting our FIU students as they step into the national spotlight!
