At 1:47 p.m. on Friday, March 15, FIU held a moment of silence to mark the one year anniversary of the 8th Street pedestrian bridge accident, which killed six people and injured eight others.

While many observed the moment in place or watched the live stream, more than 300 university and community members gathered at Modesto A. Maidique Campus to pay their respects to the victims. Below are images of the solemn moments.
