President Rosenberg: Who we are, what we do, now let’s celebrate!

April 24, 2019 at 12:00am

President Rosenberg sent the following message to the university community on Wednesday, April 24.

Beginning this weekend, our FIU will celebrate one of the most joyous times of year… commencement!

We will hold 10 commencement ceremonies from April 28 – May 1 to celebrate a milestone moment in the lives of more than 5,000 students who are earning degrees this spring!

Here is something especially noteworthy: On Wednesday, May 1 at 10 a.m., we’re recognizing nine female Worlds Ahead Graduates from our College of Engineering & Computing. These women come from different walks of life, but they are at the cutting-edge of their fields – and share a passion for changing lives!

This promises to be the best set of graduation ceremonies ever! Please plan to attend at least one ceremony to join in our end of semester celebration. You can also watch our commencement ceremonies via our live webcast at webcast.fiu.edu.

Thank you, again, for another outstanding academic year – and for being a part of this life-changing journey!
