The university community celebrated Freshman Convocation Aug. 25. The annual tradition welcomes freshmen, as well as their friends and family to FIU and is hosted by the President Mark B. Rosenberg, deans and distinguished faculty and staff. Highlights of this year's Freshman Convocation included: the torch-bearing ceremony, unveiling of the official class banner and a post-ceremony President's Welcome Party.
The memorable experience introduces students to their college career, in the same manner that commencement will mark their success as proud graduates of FIU.
