PublicHealth.org, an online resource that gives users “the tools to research careers and degree programs…in this growing sector of the healthcare industry,” ranked the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work’s online Master of Public Health No.10 in the country amongst the Best Online Programs for 2020.

PublicHealth.org's ranking process considers program appeal, student success and affordability.

“This ranking again highlights the overall quality, value and worth of our online Master of Public Health program, which strives to ensure that each graduate is prepared to be a leader in the charge toward prevention and community health,” said Tomás R. Guilarte, dean of Stempel College. “The generalist degree format of our online Master of Public Health ensures that students receive a well-rounded education, with the opportunity to graduate with certificates in key areas of public health.”

This is especially important under the current COVID-19 pandemic, noted Guilarte.

According to PublicHealth.org: “This ranking of the best online MPH programs provides useful information for students who want to improve the well-being of local, national and international populations. Graduates of MPH programs acquire the training to make a difference in the world, developing public healthcare policy, managing healthcare programs, conducting research, and educating the public about disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.”

The ranking noted that the program offers success coaches to help distance learners with navigating graduate school, as well as online tutoring services to guide students who need an extra hand with coursework.
