Week of Welcome kicks off with fun virtual activities

Fall semester is here! And FIU is ready to help you make the most of your university experience. Whether you are attending classes in-person, fully online or opted for a hybrid modality, the Division of Academic and Student Affairs is kicking off the semester with an incredible Week of Welcome (WOW) lineup.

WOW marks the official start of the new academic year and welcomes new and returning students. The week-long festivities introduce Panthers to resources available at FIU. Learn how you can join exciting student organizations, partake in Greek Life and even participate in Homecoming traditions.

MONDAY, AUG. 24

Write it Out with HLP

Want to get into the right mindset to start off the semester? Join the Healthy Living Program for a journaling session to help you set goals and intentions. IG Live @fiuhlp from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Panthers Connect Challenge Kickoff

HomecomingPresents: Paint Your Pride

This event is similar to a Painting with a Twist night but without the twist! Panthers will be painting a custom FIU-themed design on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Interested students must register prior to the event through the FIU Homecoming Council Panther Connect page. Supplies will be distributed on Sunday, Aug. 23, from noon to 2 p.m. in between the Blue and Gold Garage. You must present ID to pick up supplies. To register, click here.
