March Food Drive @ FIU Libraries
For March, FIU Libraries will be collecting canned and non-perishable food to support the student food pantries located on the Biscayne Bay Campus and Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
These pantries help FIU students in need by providing access to up to 10 pounds of food and toiletries a week. The pantries are donation-based, which means they thrive off the generous donations from employees, student groups and surrounding communities.
Each month, a different department within the university champions the Student Food Pantry by acting as a collections ambassador. This March, FIU Libraries will be accepting donations in support of both pantries. Boxes will be placed at various locations throughout the Green and Hubert Libraries.
If you are unable to locate a box, simply drop-off your donation at the Access Services desk within the Green Library or the Circulation Desk at the Hubert Library.
Suggested Food Items:
Dairy: Canned and boxed milk, evaporated milk and powdered milk
