Tremors cause no damage to buildings, classes continue as scheduled

After tremors from today’s earthquake in the Caribbean were felt in Downtown Miami and other parts of the city this afternoon, FIU is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff.

There is no reported damage to any university buildings or sites, and classes and operations will continue as scheduled.
