The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU was just awarded "Best Museum" by Miami New Times, beating out larger institutions across Miami-Dade County. The accolade comes as the museum is still currently closed but continuing its award-winning virtual programming.

“The pandemic has left people feeling disconnected in various ways—disconnected from their friends and family, disconnected from the world and disconnected from their history. In a word: unmoored. That's why places like the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU are more important than ever," the article says.

"We are beyond thrilled and very grateful to Miami New Times for always supporting our work and for this prestigious award," says Susan Gladstone, executive director of the museum.

Gladstone, who is getting married this Saturday, says that it’s the best wedding gift she could have ever received.
