Everything you need to know for FIU Homecoming game day

FIU’s Homecoming Week culminates this Saturday, October 23 starting at 1 p.m. with The Roar Report,our annual live broadcast, followed by our Panthers taking on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers during our Homecoming gameat 7 p.m.

Game Day Schedule:

1:00 p.m.  The Roar Report airs onhc.fiu.edu

2:00 p.m.  Tailgate Areas open 

4:00 p.m.  Ticket Office opens 

4:30 p.m.   Alumni’s ROAR Lounge opens

4:45 p.m.   Panther Walk (FIU band and fans welcome football team) 

6:00 p.m.   Gates open 

7:05 p.m.   Kick off

Halftime    Crowning of Homecoming King & Queen

 Parking: 

  • There will be free game-day parking in the Panther Garage (PG 3). Please use the campus entrance on Southwest 112 Avenue and 8 Street to access the garage.
  • Continuous transportation will be available from General Parking in Panther Garage (PG3) to the Tailgating Drop-off location from 2-11 p.m.
  • Preferred parking is available in Lot 7 and CSC Lot on game day for $20.
  • Please use the entrance on Southwest 117 Avenue and 17 Street to access Lot 7 and CSC Lot.
  • Parking for persons with disabilities is available in the lot south of the stadium.

Tailgating:

  • Reserve your tailgate space in Parkview and welcome our FIU Football team as they arrive.
  • Game day packages, which include a 10 x 10 tent, table and four chairs can be reserved.
  • General and student tailgating will take place in Parkview.
  • The Alumni Association’s ROAR Lounge will take place in Parkview Hall beginning at 4:30 p.m. Purchase tickets today.
  • Air-conditionedrestrooms will be located in Lot 7 and Parkview. 
  • Attendees may bring their own tailgating tent. A 10 x 10 tent is encouraged. All lots are pre-permitted for larger tents. Visit FIU’s tailgating information page for pricing and additional tailgating guidelines. 

 Street Modifications:

The following streets will have limited access for those with preferred parking passes and tailgaters beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23.

  • East Campus Circle/Southwest 113 Avenue between Lot 8 (north of Parkview Hall) and FIU Stadium.

Additionally, construction continues near our residence halls. Please use campus entrances on Southwest 112 Avenue and 8 Street and Southwest 117 Avenue and 17 Street (with preferred parking pass).

Transportation: 

  • Continuous transportation will be available from 109 Towers, Identity Miami and 4th Street Commons to WPAC from 2-11 p.m.
  • Use Freebee on demand door to door transportation to get to the game (within the service area). Hours of operation will be from 5:30-11 p.m. For a free ride, simply download the “Ride Freebee” app from the Apple App store or the Google Play store, request a ride and jump onboard!   • Shuttle service will be provided from BBC, departing from the Panther Express bus stop at 2:45 p.m. and returning to BBC at 11 p.m.
