The university community always has something going on. Now, that activity is increasingly more visible on campus. FIU re-doubled its repopulation efforts this month to be there for its students. The Knight Foundation also made a $10 million gift to FIU’s School of Computing and Information Sciences to develop technical talent.

Here are some of our favorite moments from February, as captured by FIU photographers Margi Rentis and Lucy Logan.

While many South Floridians watched live online, a small audience gathered on campus to celebrate a groundbreaking $10 million gift from the Knight Foundation to FIU’s School of Computing and Information Sciences to develop technical talent in the region. The transformative investment will catalyze the development of the local tech ecosystem, increase the number of FIU graduates entering the sector and strengthen collaboration with industry.
