The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU continues wellness event series #BeWell with new fall programming

October 29, 2021 at 3:00pm

Beginning on Nov. 2, the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU (JMOF-FIU) will present part two of #BeWell, a series of virtual workshops on health and wellness. Originally launched in the spring of 2021, this series provides arts and culture programs that examine practices of mindfulness, healing and wellbeing, via a range of offerings.

#BeWell aims to help develop a mindfulness practice and teach healing arts from wellness experts in various fields.

“We at the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU have been reflecting on our history and role as a place of refuge, community building, and resilience. Built from these values, the #BeWell Series aims to bring together members of our community, who come from many different backgrounds, yet are seeking similar things – to feel connected to a community, develop a mindfulness practice tied to Jewish roots and cultivate a range of tools to cope with the increased stress and sense of isolation resulting from the pandemic,” said Luna Goldberg, education manager at JMOF-FIU.

The #BeWell series is sponsored in part by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Incubator.
