Ready to make the most of your FIU experience?
Week of Welcome, known to Panthers as WOW, marks the official start of the new academic year.
From Aug. 23-28, new and returning students can engage in fun festivities to get acquainted with various student organizations and FIU resources.
Organized by Academic and Student Affairs, this year’s lineup includes everything from Greek Life BBQs to financial wellness workshops, the Wellness and Recreation Center’s Recfest, and more!
Here’s a quick guide on how to kick off the Fall 2021 semester:
Countdown to Homecoming
Celebrate the countdown to Homecoming Week and get ready to show off your Panther spirit. GC Pit (MMC) 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fun under the Sun Hangout with the Councils
Meet the councils, get involved, make friends and have fun! Enjoy a guest appearance by Papa Keith from 103.5 The Beat, free food, Cold Stone ice cream, music, and giveaways. Parking Lot 2 next to ACII (BBC) Noon to 3 p.m.
Center for Student Engagement Panthers Connect Challenge Kickoff

Student Programming Council-MMC Who’s Got Game
SPC's Who's Got Game will immerse students into an arcade/game night atmosphere, where Panthers can play different arcade games including basketball, foosball, air hockey, car games, skeeball, and more. Student Programming Council-MMC Explores the Stars
