Whether you are attending classes in-person, fully online or opted for a hybrid modality, the Division of Academic and Student Affairs is kicking off the spring semester with an incredible Week of Welcome (WOW) lineup that includes both fun virtual and socially distanced, in-person events.

Festivities welcome new and returning students and introduce Panthers to a variety of resources available at FIU. Choose from the list below on the many ways you can get involved this spring semester.

MLK Day of Service 

The MLK Day of Service became a National Day of Service in 1994 and has been known as a "Day On, Not a Day Off" ever since. Its purpose is to bring to life Dr. King's teachings by bringing the community together and celebrating his vision of freedom and a unified diverse community. Every year, FIU students, faculty, staff, and friends of the university come together to create solutions to social problems in the community.
