Happy New Year! Welcome to the Spring 2024 semester at FIU!
For those students, faculty, and staff joining our Panther family for the first time, we welcome you to FIU and are glad to have you on our campuses.
As we come together as a university community to kick off this new semester, each of us has a unique opportunity to set new goals and work hard to achieve them.
Inspired by the successes of 2023, when FIU was ranked as the #4 best public university in the country by the Wall Street Journal and as our university surpassed $300 million in research expenditures, we continue our rise to the top in 2024.
It is one of the greatest joys of my life to serve as President of this great university. This year, let us come together once again to ensure 2024 is FIU’s best year yet.
