Announcing the date and details of the 13th annual North Miami BrewFest
It’s time to "Learn. Brew. Taste." at the only beer festival in South Florida run by students.
Where can you taste beers made with exotic ingredients such as blueberry, guava or - wait for it - saki all in one place while even learning how they were brewed? At the 13th annual North Miami BrewFest, of course. The event is produced by FIU's Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and is scheduled to take place from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at The NoMi Village in North Miami.
The beer festival was by students in a brewing science class and has since grown exponentially. Last year, more than 35 breweries and 20 restaurats served up more than 100 kinds of beer. More than half of the participants were FIU alumni-owned or operated businesses.
“We are excited to continue to share the love of craft brews and beer education with others in the community,” said Mohammad Quereshi, North Miami BrewFest festival director. “The public’s support is imperative since we are the only festival whose proceeds directly go back towards brewing science education,” he added.
Brews, bites and a lot of fun are included in a North Miami BrewFest ticket.
General admission tickets are $85 and include unlimited sampling of all beers plus bites prepared by local chefs. There are also early-access tickets for $105 and early-access-and-VIP-lounge tickets for $125. Proceeds from the festival, which is produced by FIU Chaplin School, benefits FIU’s Bachelor of Science in Beverage Management program.
