U.S. News & World Report ranks FIU's online programs among the Top 50

FIU landed at No. 27 for best overall online bachelor’s program among public universities in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 rankings released today. Eight bachelor's and master's programs were in the Top 50. In the category of Best Online Program for Veterans, FIU ranked No. 16 among public universities.

The U.S. News rankings highlight the university’s commitment to quality and underscore its dedication to excellence in online learning. The rankings measure overall academic quality at the baccalaureate and master's levels across disciplines. U.S. News assessed 1,790 online bachelor's and master's degree programs and ranked more than 1,700 of them. 

The public rankings are as follows:

College of Business

  • Best Online Master's in Business: 8
  • Best Online Bachelor's in Business: 30
  • Best Online MBA: 25

College of Arts, Science, & Education

  • Best Online Bachelor's in Psychology: 28
  • Best Online Master's in Education: 29

Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs

  • Best Online Master's in Criminal Justice: 13

College of Engineering

  • Best Online Master's in Information Technology: 13
  • Best Online Master's in Engineering: 35
