A historic Fall has begun at FIU. While nearly all activities and events remain virtual for the health of the university community, some students, faculty and staff are now learning and working in person. Here are a few of our favorite images from the beginning of Fall, as captured by FIU photographer Margi Rentis.

A small number of Panthers returned to campus this week for the beginning of Fall. Students, faculty and staff are currently required to physically distance from each other and wear masks while at the university.

Students moved into residential halls this month before the beginning of the academic year. Senior Tea Green, a human resource management major, was excited just to be back on campus. "I've been dorming all three years, but I'm looking forward to having my own space and independence again," she said.
