In a world where the coronavirus pandemic affects nearly everything, the university community has moved to make the best of its new normal. FIU held its first-ever virtual commencement in May, celebrating students' hard work and perseverence in the face of unprecedented challenges. The university also released its prelimenary plans for repopulating campus. Here are some of the moments that made May stand out.

Campuses prepare for repopulation
Earlier this month, the university released prelimenary guidelines for how it can safely repopulate its campuses. Preparations have begun.
